Walking Away

Amidst the raging squalls, a little girl, overheard her father, threaten to leave...forever.

And, though he didn't, that stormy afternoon.
His words never faded..
 Because, he did walk away.
One fine day. Many years later.

His words were to haunt her, all through her life.
And, hold her back.

Every time, she made a friend.
Or, felt the first stirrings of love.

She could not help, but wonder, deep inside, when the magic would end.

And, the person would walk away.
Leaving her behind, with the shards of her heart, in her hands.

For, if her father, did not love her enough, to stay, then, how, could she expect anyone else to?

Real & sad...

Although, I was inspired by Gisele in Mona Lisa Smile, this is the story of quite a few people, out there in the world...

The private hells people carry within them, never ceases to amaze me.

That would be the ultimate betrayal!!!
I feel so sorry for those children..How will they ever trust another???
Sometimes, the world can be such a horrible place..
